SEEKING NORTHERN ST’AT’IMC REPATRIATING LOGO DESIGN

The Upper St’át’imc Language, Culture and Education Society is seeking local artists interested in producing a repatriation logo to help with fundraising to bring our ancestors home.

The logo needs to represent the Northern St'át'imc as a whole (people, ancestors, place, heritage, culture, and our way of life). Participants may submit more than one logo.

Other information:

The Advisory Committee (Six Community Representatives) for “Planning for the Return of Our Ancestors and Sacred Items” will be judging the art on Thursday September 18, 2008.

The winning submission will become the property of USLCES and the artists will be required to sign a release form to that effect prior to receiving prize money.  All other originals will be returned to the contestants.

Prize: $250

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday September 17, 2008 at 4:30pm
